Summer bookings
Wanting to stay in your accommodation a little bit longer than you originally anticipated? That’s not a problem! Forster hall are offering short term summer lets for all existing residents. Your current tenancy is due to end on the 12th July 2010. If you would like to stay in your room after this period you will need to confirm this with the office as soon as possible.
Rebooking your room
Not sorted out your accommodation for the academic 2010/2011? We're still taking rebookings and you may still be able to have your existing room (subject to availability)! We are still offering an exclusive discount to all existing residents which includes £100 cash back from your deposit and 2 weeks free summer rent in July 2011! Contact the office as soon as possible to avoid disappointment!

Checkouts
You should now be in receipt of your check out pack, please be advised to read all the information carefully, you must book a check out at the office 7 days before you are due to leave Forster Hall. All keys are to be returned to the office and a deposit return form is to be completed in order for you to receive your deposit back. Any questions please do not hesitate to contact us!
Green Move out
Got items you no longer want? Take advantage of the Green move out in association with Bradford Ecoversity, items such as clothes, bedding shoes, kitchen equipment, books, electrical equipment, are all been collected weekly at the main office, and will be distributed to a number of Ecoversity charity’s. Do your bit for the environment and save on that all important luggage space! See details on notice boards in your block, or pop to the office for more information.
Party on the Amp!
Forster Hall would like to thank all of you who stopped by our stall at the Party on the Amp event. The day was really enjoyable and a great success.

April Newsletter
Welcome to the April Newsletter for Residents of Forster Hall.
Rebooking
Have you booked your accommodation for 2010/2011? Rebook your room and receive 2 weeks free summer rent in 2011 and also get £100 back from your deposit. Rooms are going fast so hurry before this offer ends!
Summer Booking
Are you wanting to extend your stay at Forster halls over the summer months? We are now offering summer lets for £70.00 per week from the 12th July 2010 until 20th August. If you are interested in staying in your room for a few weeks longer, please contact the office as soon as possible.
Vending Machines
In the upcoming weeks Forster Halls will have its own hot drinks & snacks machines on site. The new machines will be located next to the soft drinks machines under C Block. So for all those residents who need caffeine a fix in a morning or chocolate fix in the evening there will be a service on site very soon for all to enjoy!
Fire in Forster Hall
On Monday 19th April 2010 all students were evacuated from the building due to a fire that took place in B24 kitchen, The fire had started due to a pan been left on the stove unattended. I would like to remind all residents to never leave items unattended when placing them on the stove or within the oven.
Inspections
The last inspections of the year will take place on Wednesday 6th, Thursday 7th and Friday 8th May. Inspections will be done in the flat kitchens and in individual rooms. Please be aware we will need accses to your rooms on one of these dates. A letter will be sent to all residents within the next few days to detail the date and time of your inspections.
Exams
We would like to wish all residents every success with there exams in the upcoming weeks.
Part on the Amp 2010
Forster Halls is pleased to announce that we will be sponsoring Party on the Amp 2010! Come along on Friday 28th May between 12.00 noon to 6:00pm.
The event will include Live DJ music, our massive custom-built waterslide, fantastic stage acts, plus a bouncy castle. There's also the space for you to bring along your own barbecues to enjoy the atmosphere.

March Newsletter
Welcome to our March newsletter where you will find the latest on rebooking, allocations, staff changes, competitions, an Easter Quiz and more!!
Staff Changes
You will notice another new face next time you pass the office; Richard Matthews is the new Accommodation Assistant at Forster Hall and will be on hand Monday to Friday to help and assist all with any accommodation issues you may have.
Rebooking
Have you sorted your accommodation for 2010/11? Why not rebook with Forster Hall and take advantage of our latest offers! All current residents will receive £100 cash back and 2 weeks free summer rent for 2011.
Allocations
Allocations for 2010/2011 have now commenced, this now means that if you have not rebooked with us yet, your room may have been allocated to someone else. Please come to the office as soon as possible if you want to stay in your current room or if you would like to relocate to a different room. This is your last chance to avoid disappointment

Exams
We hear that the results from the exams in January are now out! Forster Hall hope all residents got the results they were hoping for.
Competition
We are looking for students to create and design a photo portfolio and a video tour of the Forster Hall site. The chosen winner will win £100 and Mainstay will use the material in advertising such as Facebook, Twitter and the Mainstay Website. The closing date for all work to be submitted it 29th march 2010. If you are interested in entering your work, please pop into the office for a full list of guidelines.
Easter Egg Hunt
Join us in our Easter Egg hunt on Thursday 25th March 2010 where the first clue will be at the office from 11.00am. The winner will receive an Easter surprise!. All entries will also receive a prize. Please enter your name or group at the office before 23rd March

Refreshers fair - Mainstay/Forster Hall will be setting up stall at refreshers fair event at Bradford University, on 4th February 2010 between 10am and 4pm. Why not come along and say hello and bag yourself some free goodies!!
Laundry Facilities - Have you made use of our fantastic state of the art laundry facilities yet? Not only can you top up your credit online, you can view the status of the machines within the Laundry to see how many washers and dryers are in use, and to top that, the system will send you an email to tell you when the washing cycle has finished!!.
Please visit the accommodation office for your circuit laundry card and details of how to make full use of this service.
Events - We are currently looking at events to host throughout the year and we need your input! If you have any ideas, share them with us. We are always looking for fresh inspiration. Call into the accommodation office or email your ideas to nicolebenn@mainstaygroup.co.uk.
Maintenance - Was your room painted magnolia for 2009/10? If not, and your room is still a peach/orangey colour please make the office aware so that this can be scheduled in for painting. Please do not put your room down for painting if it has already been freshly painted!
Security - Can you please ensure that doors and main gates are closed behind you. Do not let people in to the building if you are unsure of who they are. This is for your own safety and the safety of other residents within the buildings. There have been a number of incidents in previous months that have been caused by non-residents. Please be more vigilant and call the 24-hour helpline for assistance on 07970483972.
