Refreshers fair - Mainstay/Forster Hall will be setting up stall at refreshers fair event at Bradford University, on 4th February 2010 between 10am and 4pm. Why not come along and say hello and bag yourself some fre goodies!!
Laundry Facilities - Have you made use of our fantastic state of the art laundry facilities yet? Not only can you top up your credit online, you can view the status of the machines within the Laundry to see how many washers and dryers are in use, and to top that, the system will send you an email to tell you when the washing cycle has finished!!.
Please visit the accommodation office for your circuit laundry card and details of how to make full use of this service.
Events - We are currently looking at events to host thoughout the year and we need your input! If you have any ideas, share them with us. We are always looking for fresh inspiration. Call into the accommodation office or email your ideas to nicolebenn@mainstaygroup.co.uk.
Maintenance - Was your room painted magnolia for 2009/10? If not, and your room is still a peach/organgey colour please make the office aware so that this can be scheduled in for painting. Please do not put your room down for paintiing if it has already been freshly painted!
Security - Can you please ensure that doors and main gates are closed behind you. Do not let people in to the building if you are unsure of who they are. This is for your own safety and the safety of other residents within the buildings. There have been a number of incidents in previous months that have been caused by non-residents. Please be more vigilant and call the 24-hour helpline for assistance on 07970483972.

Staff Changes at Forster Hall
You will notice a couple of new faces next time you pass the accommodation office. We have a new Accommodation Manager, Nicole Benn, and a new Administrator, Chris Baker. Please do pop in and say hello next time you are passing.

A welcome event to remember!
The Forster Hall Welcome event for 07/08 students started with an 11-a-side football game against arch rival, Arkwright Hall. The game started off with a bang with plenty of hard tackles flying in and it was obvious there was no love lost between the teams. At the end of the epic battle, however, there was only going to be one team in it and that was Forster Halls who emerged victorious winning 4-2.

Following the football game, Forster Halls decided to throw a Welcome party for the residents at the nationally established Revolution bar. We had a full house at Revs with guests from Forster Hall and other student accommodation in Bradford. The party was a chance to show the students that Forster Hall can offer a lot more than just a place to live. More importantly, it gave students a chance to get to know one another and to familiarise themselves with the people they will be seeing everyday. With music from various genres and great drink offers, it was the perfect way to start the academic year with staff of Forster Halls also joining in the fun.
