Q. What’s included in the rent?
A. Your rent is all inclusive of utility bills, including electricity and water, TV licence, contents insurance and Broadband Internet access as well as site management and security.
Q. Does the building have lifts?
A. Yes, the building is comprised of 5 blocks and there are 5 lifts.
Q. Is the accommodation aimed mainly at freshers?
A. No, it is open to all full-time students.
Q. Is Rialto Court on campus?
A. Not quite. The Rialto is situated on just over the bridge from campus, on Bridge Road. It is opposite Burger King, as you come into Stockton town centre.
Q. Are any of the bedrooms en-suite?
A. Yes, all of them.
Q. Can I share an apartment with friends?
A. Yes. We have apartments to accommodate different group sizes, ranging from 2 to 7-bed apartments. We also take bookings from individuals as well as groups, so if it is just you but you would like to live in a 4-bed apartment, for example, we will help you find some suitable flat-mates, based on your interests etc.
Q. What happens if there is a problem with the heating or other services?
A. We’ll deal with it for you. Just contact the friendly on-site accommodation team and a member of the on-site maintenance team will sort it out as soon as possible.
Q. Is broadband access available?
A. Broadband internet is provided in each bedroom within your accommodation package, FREE.
Q. How is rent paid and how often?
A. We collect your rent by direct debit four times a year – on 1 August 2009, 15th October 2009, 15th January 2010 and 20th April 2010. This allows you to avoid paying one big lump sum and also coincides with student loan payments.
Q. Do I need to pay a deposit?
A. Yes. We ask for a deposit of £150* to be paid when you book your accommodation.
*The deposit is refundable, subject to a satisfactory inspection at the end of your tenancy.
Q. How do I book a room?
A. You can book on-line right away, just complete the online accommodation bookings form and our accommodation team will get right back to you with all the necessary information to help you secure your accommodation or just pop over to the marketing suite when it’s open (from 15th January 2008 Monday – Friday 11am – 6pm).
Q. Is there a Common Room Area?
A. Yes, there are 2 common rooms with lots of comfy sofas, widescreen TV, pool tables, games and vending machines.
