Out and about Birmingham's a great city to live in, with a diverse range of activities, shopping centres, nightclubs and bars. With Studios 51 located in the city, you’ll be hard pressed not to find something to do.
If shopping's your hobby, then Birmingham's the place, offering a blend of boutique shops, stylish shopping centres, friendly markets and the gem that is Birmingham's world famous Jewellery Quarter. As the acclaimed ‘regional shopping capital’, Birmingham certainly has a wide range of shops that will be enough to make you literally ‘shop till you drop’. A must in retail therapy is the Bullring with designer and high street shops, from Selfridges to Next, Karen Millen to Debenhams.
If you like nothing more than to eat, drink and get merry, you will love Birmingham. With more students than any other UK city outside of London, it is not surprising that Birmingham's club scene is one of the liveliest in the country. Whether you are after the bustle of the bars and clubs in Broad Street, some of the city's hippest nightspots in the Mailbox or the newest restaurants in Brindleyplace – all are within easy reach of the city centre. The Arcadian Centre is another popular stop off with bars such as 52 Degrees North, Sobar and Poppy Red.
It you prefer a more chilled night out, then why not try one of Birmingham's many comedy clubs. Of course if you fancy something that little bit different then the Birmingham Hippodrome is a dazzling 2,000 seat work of art that regularly welcomes the cream of West End musicals and the UK's biggest, most spectacular live shows.
Living at Studios 51 you'll find most places are within easy walking distance. However, there are bus services throughout the city to a number of local and regional destinations. For those of you that fancy a trip more a field, then Studios 51 is located just a short walk from Birmingham New Street train station .
