What’s included in the rent?
A. Your rent is all inclusive of utility bills (capped at £350), including electricity and water.
Does the building have a lift?
A. Yes, it has one lift
Is the accommodation aimed mainly at freshers?
A. No, it is open to all students, especially final year, post graduate, and student couples
Is Studios 58 on campus?
A. Not quite. Studios 58 is situated in a central location in between Bristol University campus and the heart of Bristol’s lively city centre, adjacent to the bus station,
Can I share a studio apartment?
A. Yes. The apartments are for one or two people to share.
What happens if there is a problem with the heating or other services?
A: We’ll deal with it for you. Just contact the on-site accommodation team and a member of the on-site maintenance team will sort it out as soon as possible.
How is rent paid and how often?
A. We collect your rent by direct debit four times a year – on 1 August 2009, 1 October 2009, 10 January 2010 and 4 April 2010. This allows you to avoid paying one big lump sum and also coincides with your student loan payments.
Is broadband access available?
A. Broadband Internet is available as an optional extra service and will be provided by www.ask4.com.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
A. Yes. We ask for a deposit of £350* to be paid when you book your accommodation. * The deposit is refundable, subject to a satisfactory inspection at the end of your tenancy.
How do I book a room?
A. You can book on-line right away, just complete the online accommodation bookings form and our accommodation team will get right back to you with all the necessary information to help you secure your accommodation.
Is there any car parking?
A. With Studios58 being situated in the heart of Bristol city centre, there is no parking on site at all.
What additional facilities are there on-site?
A. The will be a courtyard area for residents to relax in and there is an on-site laundry.
What fittings are included in the studios?
A. Each studio is fitted with a double bed, a double wardrobe, a large desk area with drawers, and a smart two seater sofa. The kitchen area has a combination microwave, two ring hob, extractor fan, fridge with freezer compartment, storage space, and a breakfast bar and two stools. Also an en-suite bathroom. All you could want and more. With some rooms having extra large living areas and others only the higher floors having a balcony.
What security provision is there?
A. CCTV system, Electronic fob entry system and Intercom entry
