Purpose-built for September 2008, The Foundry is located right in the centre of Loughborough. The development offers a great choice of accommodation, from studios for one or two to apartments with two, three, four, five or six study bedrooms plus a shared lounge and kitchen/dining room. There are just 112 bedrooms in total and you can apply for accommodation as an individual or as a group. And because rent is all-inclusive, there are no bills to pay.

Foundry studio apartments are exclusive to Mezzino Accommodation, offering individuals or couples their own private space with all of the state-of-the-art facilities Mezzino has to offer. These self-contained apartments are designed to meet individual needs, with a fully fitted kitchen, breakfast bar, en-suite, study area, and a bedroom area featuring a double bed. In addition, studio apartments include a 20” LCD television that comes with a free TV licence, Freeview and Sky Sports channels. Apartments have 4, 5 or 6 ensuite bedrooms, together with shared, fully fitted and furnished kitchen, dining and lounge areas. Each en-suite bedroom comes fully furnished and includes a double-sized bed, desk, pin board, bin, chair, wardrobe, wall-mounted shelving unit, and a 3-drawer unit under the desk. You’ll also have your own shower, wash basin and toilet. Each bathroom is also fitted with a towel rail and bin. Curtains are provided and there’s a wall light and desk lamp. Your apartment is already wired for access to the internet and broadband. If you require a telephone in your room the connection can be made on the day you move in, calls between rooms with these telephones will be free of charge.

Kitchens are fully fitted and each include an electric cooker with extractor fan, microwave, fridge and freezer. You’ll also have your own dishwasher, so you’ll never have to argue about whose turn it is to wash up! There’s also a dining area with a breakfast bar and stools. Each lounge has comfy leather furniture, as well as a 32” LCD TV, with a free TV licence, Freeview and Sky Sports channels. Launderette facilities are on the ground floor and are be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week - ideal for those times when you run out of clean socks! Machines are coin operated. If you rely on pedal power, there is a secure bike storage area on the ground floor. You’ll require a key to get in, so just ask at the Accommodation Management suite when you arrive. Only Mezzino residents carrying a security key fob have access to the building, and each apartment has its own door entry system. Full 24-hour CCTV is in operation in all lobby areas, and a member of the accommodation team is on site 24 hours a day in case of emergency. Smoke and fire detectors are fitted throughout.
