Out and About

Out and about Lincoln's a great city to live in, mixing over 2000 years of history with a lively social scene. With the Junxion located just off the high street, right next to the new 'state of the art' University Library and in the heart of the city centre, you'll be in the perfect location to get your weekly food shopping and have enough time to get to university even if you only roll out of bed five-minutes before your lecture. There are many adventures to be had in the city, from climbing the infamous Steep Hill, up to the Cathedral, to hitting the many shops, bars and clubs Lincoln has to offer.

All our residents are provided with their very own Privilege card, which offers loads of discounts and special offers around the city – helping you save money on everything from gym membership to Chinese take-away.

Night life

Lincoln may not be the party capital of the UK, but rest assured it has more than enough bars, pubs and clubs to keep the student population happy. The new Student Union bar, ‘The Engine Shed’, is located adjacent to the Junxion and is the largest live music venue in Lincoln, with a 1750 capacity. Also highly recommended is Vodka Revolution on the High Street – great for cocktails, all types of vodka and 2-4-1 food deals. The Glasshouse is also another popular hangout with their infamous ‘jugs’; a great stop off point on any night out.

Entertainment

Lincoln has plenty to offer to keep you entertained when you're not working or painting the town red.

If you're looking for a student-friendly gym with exclusive offers for Privilege cardholders then Fitness First is for you. Just five minutes from The Junxion, Fitness First offers fantastic facilities at a very affordable price.

The best place to catch the latest film has to be The Odeon, a multi-screen cinema again only minutes away from The Junxion. If there’s nothing on at the cinema, then there is plenty more to do in the city, from going bowling to paintballing or why not organise your own mini GrandPrix at the go-karting centre.

Shopping

Lincoln boasts a sufficient wealth of choice for shopping, ranging from Eqvvs – a designer clothes store – to a newly expanded Topshop and Topman. The town centre also offers all the usual high street names, so you’ll be sure to find what you need in and around Lincoln. There are also lots of smaller boutiques and art shops to be found at the top of Steep Hill in the Bailgate area – perfect for an afternoon’s browsing.

Getting around

Living at the Junxion you'll find most places are within easy walking distance. However, there is a bus service from the City centre to a number of destinations within the area. For those of you that fancy a day in Nottingham or Leeds, or simply want to pop home for a visit, there are daily train and coach services running from the City centre.
